Richmond, Sunday 30th @Lady Bay, 3pm Kick Off
« on: October 26, 2016, 02:21:24 AM »
Crunch match this Sunday against fellow league stragglers, the boys showed real heart in Ireland beating Leinster 'A' and will surely be feeling confident of getting a full five points this weekend.

Let's turn up in numbers and cheer the boys on in what is a must win game.

Agreed. There is no doubt Richmond will be targeting this game on our league position alone. We need to start well and drain their confidence from the off. It is very important we lay down a marker and ensure we don't get dragged towards the bottom of the league. A good win and things will look an awful lot better.

To state the obvious we MUST beat Richmond home and away to be safe this season.
Anything less and we put ourselves in serious danger.
The team is going to need our support this Sunday, no sick notes or excuses will be accepted.
If only Nottingham was in Wales it would be perfect

So, by your own words, Mr NRM won't be at home watching the tv like he did when we played Scarlats! His absence was duly noted.  ;)

Its a fair cop, I just can't get excited by the B and I. Pointless competition that we never treat seriously.

I REALLY cannot make it this Sunday but please all of you who can , get down to LB and cheer the guys on. We have been like the curates egg this season but I am sure there is a very good G&W 's team just below the surface and itching to get out. But this is a big one guys so run 'em ragged ang get the 5 on offer.
Incidentally NRM I am  at the Liberty Stadium tomorrow cheering Ospreys home

Is Shane Buckley injured? Other than that it looks a strong team

 Beak,

Shane injured his ankle during the Leinster game, back in 2-3 weeks he told me. You'll have to make do with Poullet in Shane's absence.

Atrocious but a win. Surely we cannot play that badly again. We had all the cutting edge of a pork pie.
Hard to find anything positive to say, after 7 league games it should be coming together not be a shambles.
Utter tripe.

I've waited 24 hours to write my review because if I'd written it immediately post match, and without thinking things through logically I would've definitely regretted it.

I believe our boys expected to walk straight through Richmond, they would've looked at Richmond's previous results and thought Christmas had arrived early, when Richmond weren't the sacrificial Lamb they were all expecting then the lads panicked. They were lethargic, didn't make the right decisions and made far too many errors. We lacked an out and out leader, a voice above all others and someone the boys could react to and follow.

In beating Richmond the boys beat the best the National Leagues had to offer, they won by 20-8 and scored 3 tries in the process, yes 5 points would've been nice but they managed 4. Four points playing their worst rugby of the season and we should all remember that. Brad Gilbert, who was an American tennis pro wrote a book called 'Winning Ugly' yesterday they did just that, they won ugly.

The boys are 100% behind their new coach. They are a new team getting used to each other and I'm confident they will come good. #InCossyWeTrust
